This image suggests a pastoral scene, but with the unexpected shape in the middle. It could be a barn, or it could be something that does not fit into the picture at all. Painting images helps us become aware of our thinking patterns, and it also helps us identify things that interrupt those thoughts. When we look at the interruptions we might find usefulness in this new information. Incorporating what we discover helps us reduce anxiety because thoughts we don’t understand, like the fear of the unknown, can be a source of anxiety.
